I am confused
hi, so I’ve had a green anole since about April of this year. when he was staying in the critter crate thing for the first day or two of living with me before i got his tank, he was bright green. Since then he has been a light grey color. I originally thought it was do to the tank being slightly dry since I had been a bit busy but, know that I spray the tank multiple times a day and the humidity stays up, I am confused. I then I was gone for a few days while he was being watched by my mother (nor he or his tank was moved). over the days I was gone, my heat lamp went out. I was initially concerned, but my mom assured me the house was at a 78 degrees Fahrenheit so he would be ok til I got home to replace the bulb. I arrived home the next day at about 7:30 meaning it was dark both inside my room and out through my window. I turned on my light to see a bright green anole. I replaced the bulb and he began to turn brown again. I then thought perhaps it was too hot. I was correct. it was 65 watts (too hot). But what I don’t get it why he was green while the lamp was not on. In addition I moved my anole into the tank before i got the heat lamp and he was greyish. I am perplexed. Please help. If you can figure it out please let me know.
