Explant yesterday
Hi hi hi! I just wanted to share with you that I had my explant yesterday and I'm so relieved it's done!
I asked to keep my implants (as in, to keep the physical objects, not keep them in) and the surgeon will have nicked one - there was a tiny slash in the shell, and ofc I squeezed it until the gel came out. The gel stuck to everything it touched, including the outside of the shell, and balled up when I tried to get it off my fingers (ofc I poked it), was not at all cohesive and did not fully retract into the shell when I let go. I know this kind of squeezing would never happen with them implanted but man, am I glad this didn't happen inside my body. They were Motiva Ergonomix 2 implants.
I only had my them in for 8 months, realized almost immediately that I'd made a really expensive mistake. I had a simple explant, left the capsules, and I am pretty much pain free today. I'll be getting a lift in 6 months once everything has settled to correct the asymmetry I have, which why I got them in the first place, but for now I'm just really glad to have joined the post-explant crew and be flat!
