Moving a family to a new save broke my family tree relationships. Any fix?
I'm having a weird Sims 4 genealogy issue and I'm wondering if anyone knows a fix.
I had a family with two parents and several adult children. The adult children had already moved out and were living in their own households. I saved the family to my library and placed them into a different save file.
After placing them in the new save, the family relationships got messed up. The adult children only show as being related to one parent instead of both. For example, a daughter might show Parent A as her parent, but Parent B is completely missing from the family tree.
The strange part is that the relationships between the Sims still seem to exist in some form. Some of them are showing up as stepchildren/stepdaughters, and MCCC recognizes that there are family relationships, but the genealogy is incorrect.
I've tried:
- MC Command Center relationship options
- Add Relationship Bits
- CAS Full Edit Mode
- Relationship cheats
The normal Mother/Father relationship options either don't appear or don't actually restore the genealogy.
Has anyone run into this after moving a family to a different save? Is there a way to restore a biological parent relationship in the family tree without recreating the entire family from scratch?
I'm using the latest version of MCCC and several other mods.
