Bought TCL Q6C recently. Apps lag sometimes and AirPlay is almost unusable
Bought a TCL 55” Q6C on 12th May and facing performance issues on a brand new TV. Wanted to check if other owners are facing the same.
Main issues:
• Apps sometimes lag or become unresponsive while skipping videos or buffering
• After a factory reset, things improved temporarily, but I don’t want to keep resetting a new TV every few days
• Biggest issue: Apple AirPlay is almost unusable. Video becomes choppy/pixelated, keeps pausing and resuming, and playback is very laggy while casting from iPhone
Internet connection is stable and other devices work fine on the same WiFi.
I’ve already raised a complaint with TCL support. What I find strange is that I’m not seeing many similar complaints on Reddit or Amazon reviews, so I’m confused whether this is a defective unit or a software issue.
Any other TCL Q6C owners here facing similar AirPlay or lag issues?
Did TCL fix it through an update/service visit?
Also, realistically, is replacement/return possible through Amazon or TCL after installation if the issue continues?
