Fantasy vs Wish

I’m planning our first Disney cruise and want to take advantage of the 50% kids offer. I’ve been leaning towards one of the Fantasy sailings but the Wish is a contender too… I’ve heard so many negative things about Wish 4 night cruises that I’ve had my doubts about it but there are so many features that I think our family would enjoy (Frozen dining, Toy Story splash pad) that I can’t count it out completely. Trying to make a final decision between a fantasy 5 night with Pixar day at sea, a fantasy 4 night or a wish 4 night and man, there’s just so many variables to consider! Ftr my kids will be 2.5 and 4.5 when we sail. Any input would be appreciated!

Two port or three port itinerary?

All things being equal, would you rather do a cruise with just stops at Castaway and Lookout, or one with both those ports plus Nassau? I’m looking at a 5 night on the Fantasy for January. We have 2 little kids and I’ve heard Nassau isn’t a great port for little ones so I thought I’d just do the 2 port itinerary, but I’m wondering if the 3 port might be better since we could enjoy a less crowded ship on the Nassau day. Thoughts?

We’re considering an Alaskan cruise for summer 2027. This will be our first time. We have 2 kids, both with summer birthdays. My son won’t be 3 until the end of August. Part of the reason for this trip is because my daughter will be starting kindergarten that fall. School will start before my son’s birthday. I’m not opposed to taking my daughter out of school but it would definitely be more convenient to go before school starts. My only hang up is that if we go before, my son won’t be able to do the kids club. I imagine my daughter will have a blast and want to spend a lot of time there based on her personality. It would be nice if my son could go too so we can have some time just for me and my spouse. I’ve heard older toddlers tend to be bored in the nursery, plus there’s the extra cost. So I’m leaning towards going after my son’s birthday. But I’ve heard that you’re less likely to see whales later in the season, which is one of the big reasons we want to go to Alaska. Parents who have sailed with toddlers, would you wait til both kids can go to the kids club?
