I picked up my new motorbike today!
I’ve owned a Honda Shadow 600cc for a long time, but it’s finally time to upgrade. My husband owns a Vulcan, so we thought it would also be a good choice for me. Especially with the adjustments that can be made for shorter riders. I still plan to add a Cool Covers seat cover, remove the pillion seat and replace with a luggage rack, but I‘ve changed a few things already. I added green bar ends, heated grips, a green indicator switch, reflective tape on the wheels (annoying that it’s a different shade of green) and green valve caps. Plus a tank protector (seen in the garage photo-I tried to edit out the mess in the background!) to stop my jacket scratching that lovely matt paintwork. I was terrified riding home. The roads were wet, it was windy, and the bike is more responsive than the Shadow, so controlling my speed was a struggle. I’ll get there with more practice.
