Is 100 Days a Big Deal in Korea?
My bf (Korean) and I have been dating for almost 3 months now, and he’s already talking a lot about our 100th day. He mentioned things like exchanging gifts, getting couple rings, and even booked a restaurant at a hotel for dinner. He also told me to dress up nicely for it.
The thing is… he’s a student, and honestly this all feels way out of his budget. I feel a little uncomfortable because it seems like too much for such a new relationship, but at the same time I’m not sure if this is just normal Korean dating culture and I should go along with it.
Would it be hurtful if I told him I’d rather keep things simpler? Or is celebrating 100 days in a big way actually that important in Korea?
