How did you build competency if you started solo from the beginning? What is the best way to find mentors? I have applied for several mentorship programs but have not been matched with the right fit yet.
New lawyer looking for a virtual address in Durham region GTA. The options are so limited and the ones available don't seem to have good rates. Is it too bad if one asks another lawyer to use their office address? I don't mean lawyer friends, as I don't know anyone with an office in Durham. But lawyers at the local association.
I have recently been called to the bar in Ontario and I have a full time job that is non-legal. I really want to run my own law firm at some point. How possible is it to start a sole practice on the side of my day job and work on it until it picks up so that I am busy enough to leave my own job and do full time law. I don't mind working on weekends and evenings and I have many vacation days that I can use in my current job. Any advice would be really appreciated
