I just need to scream into the void because this entire system is an absolute, unmitigated joke.
I busted my ass preparing for law entrances for almost 2 years. I didn't get into my dream national law school, but I somehow managed to score enough to secure a seat at ILS Pune through the mhcet exam. I did my part.
But my reward? Getting trapped in the absolute shit-show that is Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University.
Ever since the university administration gave the IT/portal tender to a new external company, the entire exam section has become a playground of incompetence. They are delaying our final semester results indefinitely. In the M.Com marksheets they already released, they somehow managed to mix up data and add B.Sc subjects. Students are getting random 0s, and people who literally sat in the exam hall are being marked absent? How could someone be that wrong, hand the admin department to my toddler niece and she'd perform better than these fools.
For context on how terrifying this is: the committee members who handled this tender chose a company tied to the exact same software management track record that caused massive student suicides in Telangana back in 2019 due to faulty results. How do these overpaid, lazy university officials and the VC sleep at night? They honestly deserve criminal charges for putting thousands of careers in jeopardy.
This admission was supposed to be a complete reset for me. I spent my entire undergrad isolated, initially prepped for a different course that didn't pan out, took time off to figure things out, and finally found my direction in law. I earned my way out of that isolation, only to be blocked at the finish line by a broken server and incompetent committee members.
And don't even get me started on the cet cell. Why is there no provisional upload option for students whose universities are lagging? Almost every single decent or indecent university out there allows provisional admissions with a late submission undertaking. Instead, the cet cell sets a rigid July 8 deadline, forcing us to watch our merit seats vanish because two government systems refuse to talk to each other.
I went to the pariksha bhavan to seek resolve out of this gulag, only for the clerks to keep tossing me between desks. I suppose there are strict no lunch timings for them, cuz they eat food whenever they want. A clerk was literally sleeping at his desk! I finally met the person who handles these exams and results, he began to rant about how many students there are and how they are overwhelmed by the sheer scale of results they gotta declare as an excuse. Buddy, if you can't handle then resign? But no, blud gotta reap all the benefits of govt jobs and not work at all. I hope this shit-show of a conundrum ends soon and I get to go to college this year cuz I'm at my wits end and can't settle for a local college at Rtmnu.
Again a disclaimer for students who are thinking of opting rtmnu for their degrees. DON'T! Move to pune, mumbai, delhi, bangalore or any other city. Best case if you have money go abroad, cuz education here is getting worse by every passing day.
