What hobby community is surprisingly wholesome online?

I keep running into hobby communities online that are way more wholesome than I expected. One that really surprised me is the woodworking groups. I thought it would be full of people flexing expensive tools but it is mostly folks sharing small wins like fixing a loose chair or making a shelf that finally sits level. People actually take time to walk beginners through mistakes instead of tearing them down.

Same thing with aquarium hobby spaces. Everyone is weirdly patient about helping each other figure out tank cycles and fish care even when the same questions get asked over and over. No one really acts annoyed they just give advice and share what worked for them.

Even the model train crowd feels like a big support group sometimes. It is less about perfection and more about enjoying the process and showing progress no matter how small.

Online spaces usually get a bad reputation but these corners feel different in a good way. It makes me wonder if most hobby communities end up like this once the focus is just shared interest and not competition what other hobby groups online have you seen that feel this welcoming.
