Help with an arrest and court- England
My dad was arrested just over 24hours ago he was involved in a dispute/fight not sure what the charges are since I cant be informed. the situation itself is that he showed up to the house of the person he did a job for over 3 weeks ago which they blocked him and refused to pay him - he went there asking for the money- so im thinking he was either arrested on trespassing terms or the fight itself. The other party consisting of 3 men which attacked him are not injured whereas my father is visibly injured with bruises. He was also the only one that was arrested. They are now keeping him in custody to represent in court tomorrow morning. I have called the police station getting the number of the solicitor which told me that they cant get permission from him for them to speak to me because he is in police custody and that he will need to pay for a solicitor in the morning since he is self employed or else he has to represent himself.
what does all of that mean and what is going to happen i am really confused and not getting any information. If anyone can assist me i would really appreciate that.
