[CHAT] Ideas for generational collaborative cross stitch
I have been thinking for awhile now how special it would be to cross stitch something with my mom and grandma. It’s a craft that’s been passed down for 4+ generations, and it’s something g we all adore.
I would love for the three of us to collaborate on something together, but I’m stumped on how to do it. It would be really interesting if the piece could reflect our different styles and preferences, but there’s a bit of a divide. My grandma leans toward mansions and houses, my mom has kind of a traditional/vintage style but has recently been stitching a map of where she’s been, and I love large, full coverage landscapes.
Has anyone else tried something similar? How did you tackle it? Any recommendations?
