Actress Una Damon from Truman Show
I was listening to the rewatchables podcast and the guest was Glen Powell. They were dissecting the Truman show. Glen brought up an interesting point and when I watched the Truman show tonight again in preparation for the podcast this weekend I tended to agree with him. He said he knows enough about framing that he believes that actress Una Damon, who worked alongside Paul Giamatti for Christof, was framed as if she had a larger role. There is no way they would frame her in the way they did for the bit speaking parts that she had in the background. So I watched all of her parts with that perspective tonight and I have to agree with him. She feels like somebody who had a lot more to do and most of it was left on the cutting room floor. Powell’s hypothesis was that maybe she rubbed somebody the wrong way and they just cut down her part as an F U to her. I doubt the boys will bring anything up Regarding her character this weekend, but it would be fun if they did.
