Teaser advice?

I am looking for help with my teaser. Some days I can do 1 or 2 proper teasers, and some days I struggle to do more than a basic chest lift with extended legs engaged.
I spoke with an instructor at my studio, and she suggested that teaser uses the same muscles as “pike” on the chair.
I can (just barely) pike on the chair with one “2” spring, and feel it in my deep abdominal muscles and upper abdominals.
I suspect that teaser also uses more lower abdominal muscles and hip flexors than pike. Does that sound right?
Does anyone have advice for what muscles to strengthen and how?

Executive functioning

I would love advice on how to get school work done with a HS child with very poor executive functioning, especially on an A/B block schedule.

Teachers frequently describe my auDHD child as highly intelligent, well-spoken, and kind in 504 evaluations, but that my kid is disorganized and doesn’t do their work. My kid failed two advanced high school classes last year because of their severe executive dysfunction. My kid earned those grades and I stand behind the teachers who recorded the grades accurately.

Obviously this isn’t a new problem.

The district has told me over the years that special ed is not warranted because my child was not falling behind in school. And now that my kid is failing and qualifies for sped under their definition, my kid is old enough to have opinions and doesn’t want the sped label (and will mask in front of diagnosticians).

My attempts to work with his counselor and his AP (mostly in the context of 504 meetings) have been largely fruitless. After several requests, I finally got access to schology last year, but it was so glitchy I could not make sense of it (perhaps an issue with the platform I use). My child goes to therapy for executive dysfunction and I even hired a executive function coach to work out a plan on how to get each week’s work done last year (at a considerable cost) but nothing has moved the needle.
Grounding and taking away devices doesn’t help. I have one more arrow in my quiver of consequences - take my kid out of that school (away from the very first friendships of their entire life).

I am going to stop letting my child use the 504 accommodation of extended deadlines, which I believe is counterproductive. And I will sit down with them every day after school to lock down assignments and due dates. But I’m concerned that the schology app will continue to confound me.

How enraging would it be to teachers for a parent to request clarification, on a fairly regular, ongoing basis of what assignments are due? Believe me, I don’t want to be writing the 8 emails every week. If anyone has a better idea, can you please share?
