The other day I made this photoshop for Percy trying to replicate his RWS look.

The other day I made this photoshop for Percy trying to replicate his RWS look.

Made his face and smokebox smaller, his funnel longer and thinner and gave him the apple green livery he has in the books.

So… How did I do?

Today I made this photoshop for Jeremiah Jobling trying to replicate how he looks in the original book version of "James And The Bootlace".

Just incase anyone doesn't know, he's the man who reluctantly gives his bootlace to the driver after being pressured by the other passengers.

Anyway… How did I do? And remember, be honest.

Today I made some photoshops for the four workshop engines that appear in "Trouble In The Shed" (The book version)

In the original book, these four engines aren't covered up by the burlap bags and instead shown, the workshop consists of a tender engine similar to Edward, a blue tank engine who resembles Thomas, a red A1 pacific engine who resembles Henry and a green tender engine who resembles James.

Side note: I made the first engine orange with no specific reason other than stylistic choice, and I just winged it due to his livery being hidden by Percy (who he's right next to).

Another thing I want to mention is that I deliberately gave them all sad expressions to emphasize their disappointment over not being chosen for service.

Anyway… What do you fellas think?

Yesterday I made a photoshop for Bertie trying to replicate the book version of him.

Like with Terence, this is meant to replicate how he's drawn in the earlier books back when Clarence Dalby was the illustrator, but also how he's drawn in the pop-up book. In early books, his livery had a dark pink tint to it, one pop-up book illustration depicted him with a large yellow stripe, he had white tires, a yellow door knob, thinner wheels, a dark silver frame with a triangular top, one pop-up book depicted him without the lamp above his head, and he a black number plate that reads "CRD - 54".

As with Terence, I will make more photoshops for Bertie in the future which will try to replicate how he's drawn by Clive Spong.

So… what are your opinions? Remember, be honest.

Yesterday I made a photoshop of Terence trying to replicate the book version of the character.

This is meant to replicate how he's drawn in the earlier books back when Clarence Dalby was the illustrator. In early books he had a slightly darker shade of orange, with a reddish tint to it, his exhaust pipe was orange, he used to have a coupling rod and a bell, his tracks were longer and much thinner and his planks were higher.

And just a heads up, I plan to make another photoshop for Terence at some point which will be me trying to replicate how he's depicted in Clive Spong's illustrations.

Here's another photoshop I made for a book series only character.

He's an unnamed blue tank engine who makes a cameo appearance in
"Troublesome Trucks" and presumably
"Dirty Objects" in the book versions of those stories respectively. This was my attempt at trying to show what I think he would have looked like if he appeared in the tv show.

What do y'all think?

Yesterday I made another photoshop for Henry trying to replicate the book version. This time as he's depicted in "Thomas And The Guard".

In the book version, his livery is blue, he has a golden funnel and the same type of buffers as Gordon.

So… What do you guys think?

A couple days ago, I made more photoshops for James and Thomas trying to replicate their book versions.

This is my attempt at replicating how they appear in the early books prior to their respective rebuilds.

James had bigger splashers, shorter windows, a gap under his boiler, a deeper cutaway frame, a flatter roof, his roof also used to be depicted as black sometimes, he had black lining, he had 10 wheels, and a 0-6-0 configuration.

Thomas had a shorter footplate, small windows, the top of his running board was white instead of black, smaller tanks, a bigger and rounder nose, smaller wheels, a shorter and slightly wider funnel, a flatter roof, a smaller cab, a curved smokebox and a curved running board (which remained permanent in the show).

Today I made a photoshop for Lincoln. A dark green tank engine from the books.

For context, in the book version of "Troublesome Trucks" he is the tank engine who teases Jame about the bootlace instead of Thomas. This photoshop is meant to depict how I think he would have looked like if used in the tv series.

Thoughts????

Today I made a photoshop depicting what the unnamed cattle truck in the book version of "Thomas And The Trucks" would have looked like if he was added to the episode.

Thoughts?

Here's a photoshop I made today for James trying to replicate the book version as depicted in his first appearance.

In his first appearance in the books, he had a black coat of paint with red stripes, his boiler, roof, splashers and dome were all black, his front cab windows didn't have yellow lining, he had two red boiler bands, his roof was longer at the edges, he had 10 wheels instead of 14, and a fully square tender.

This photoshop is meant to replicate how Thomas appears in his first four appearances in the book series. In the first four stories (the original Reginald Payne illustrations) he is depicted with a paler shade of blue with slightly darker stripes, as well as the stripes on his tank consisting of a curve attached to a rectangle next to the doorway.

So… How did I do?

In the books, (right after "Edward, Gordon And Henry") he was repainted blue to match Gordon and Edward, which lasted until "Henry And The Elephant" (in the books that story happens right before "Tenders And Turntables") where he was painted back to green due to complaints of him looking too similar to Gordon. This photoshop is meant to replicate that and show what I think it might have looked like if in the tv show.

In the book version of "The Sad Story Of Henry", an unnamed red engine who resembles James tries push Henry out of the tunnel instead of Thomas. This photoshop is meant to depict what I think he would have looked like in the show.

In his first appearance (the original William Middleton illustration) Henry's paint coat was a slightly darker shade of green, he had only two red stripes, his cab roof was green, his buffer holds were black, his valances were black, his wheels were black and his buffers were white.
