For 5 years I worked in Marketing at a Real Estate Company. I decided to leave and join a Marketing Agency who has a Real Estate Client who is a direct competitor to my previous employer. This agency turned out to be toxic and wrecked my mental health and I am going back to my original company. At the Marketing Agency I signed an NDA and I was privy to sensitive information that could benefit my previous/next employer. I take my NDA very seriously and my upcoming boss understands that I cannot take part in any meetings/strategy that would directly involve this other company.

I just want to make sure I am protecting myself and see if there was anything else I needed to do to make sure all parties understood I take this seriously, will uphold the NDA and not put either company in any kind of jeopardy.

I am only worried because it was a toxic environment and I wouldn't put it past my boss at the agency to raise a stink or make life difficult.
