Inherited flat sold in Italy
Good evening,
Me, my father and my brother are in the process of selling a flat in Italy inherited 12 years ago when my mother passed away (I’m Italian resident in uk),in Italy there’s 0 taxes on selling an inherited property, so I should receive the full amount (- solicitor etc…) of around €50k on an Italian bank account.
What’s the best way to transfer the money on a uk bank account?
If I transfer them I assume it would trigger a check, would the sum be subject to uk taxation then? And how much would that be?
Any advice is welcome, long story short I’m about to sell a flat in Italy and with I would like to avoid to be taxed in the uk if there’s any way since Italian taxes would be 0%.
Thanks!
