My “Siri Remote” is on the fritz. It keeps turning off my Apple TV. I’ve already called Apple Support and because it’s out of warranty I’ll just have to deal with it or buy a new one. For now I just want to use the iPhone remote.

But I cannot find any way to just unpair the remote, nor to disable Bluetooth on the Apple TV, it’s infuriating. I’m about to have to drive it and dump it somewhere out of Bluetooth range, or be unable to use my TV until bin day…

The OED (https://www.oed.com/dictionary/sanitize\_v), the Cambridge dictionary (https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/sanitize) and my paper Oxford English Reference Dictionary (2002) list “sanitise” as alternative spellings of “sanitize”.

Since these publications are British, I would expect it to be the other way around. With “sanitise” being the headword, and something like “(US also -ize)”listed in the body.

Just curious why this is the case.
