Episode 8 Spoilers. Analyzing Unknown Sigils and Signs Used by Olruggio
Sand Bridge Spell.
Ignore the bad drawing I'm not much of an artist.
First is the sigil used. As I've written in the picture, I think this is the Sand Sigil. Which is likely the same as other sigils, used for manipulation of material, in this case it manipulates sand.
Second, I'd call it Arch sign. Probably drawn in groups or as one whole thing. Still unsure whether it should have 3 u with underscore shaped signs or as is. I assumed since when the spell is actived, an arch was formed at the end of each side, thus settling to call it Arch sign. How it probably works is drawn in the pictures attached.
Third, I'm not entirely sure what this does, but as I've written, I assumed it's helps with shaping and also likely an extension to Column sign. Can probably be applied to other signs but for now, I'd say it's an extension for this sign specifically. Now what I meant by shaping is that it takes on a more rigid and blockish structure similar to a wall. If you watch the time the spell activated at 10:18, you'd be able to see that it first formed (although not entirely visible) in a rectangle-ish way like a wall. Take the drawing I did as reference on the third picture and the fourth picture forming a long side as well as short side (front). So I thought this helps with shaping where the magic would manifest.
(Note: as I'm writing this, I realized my mistake, please ignore the note "curves cuz of dis (?)" in the third picture.)
Lastly, Solid sign, I claim that this would solidify an object it is cast upon like turning a sand into a sandstone. Strength sign doesn't necessarily make an object solid, it just makes and object more durable or the spell stronger. If you make a sand more durable I don't think it will solidify as sand needs something else to be binded with to be solid. It would likely just loosely pack itself together despite the Strength sign taking effect. I may be wrong here, however, this is the most plausible reasoning I can currently think of.
I'd like to know your ideas or what you all think about this. Also I wanna discuss about Tartah's magic knobs, but I'll do that in another post.
