2 Bs in Major Specific AP Courses
Hello! I'm going to be applying this fall, but throughout my high school career, this has always been nagging at me, so I just want to know if I should even bother applying. In my sophomore year, I took 6 AP courses and earned Bs in AP Chemistry and AP Biology. I ended up getting 5s on both exams, but I just got those Bs because I was really lazy. I'll be graduating as Salutatorian (would be Valedictorian if I had locked in sophomore year). When I graduate, I'd have taken 17 ap exams (took 13 so far and only got one 4, and the rest are 5s). I had a 1580 SAT, and I want to major in Computational Biology... that's why I'm concerned about whether the two Bs will drag my application. I know my ECs (3 papers published, USACO camp, Stanford professor LOR, T10% of YC applications, $500k ARR startup, etc) and am confident that my ECs are well past par for them, but I also know that they don't care about ECs if your grades aren't good. So I just want to know if the 2 Bs in AP Chemistry and AP Biology, when I'm applying as a Computational Biology major not even get me past the first filter of the application.
