AEO tip I rarely see discussed: Stop optimizing for keywords. Start optimizing for follow-up questions
Everyone talks about optimizing content for AI search by adding FAQs, schema, and conversational keywords.
But after analyzing a bunch of AI-generated answers lately, I've noticed something more interesting.
AI systems don't just retrieve the page that answers the original question.
They seem to favor content that also answers the next question a user is likely to ask.
