Player Backstory/Plot Advice
Hello DMs,
I need help writing aspects of my PCs Tiefling monks backstory into CoS.
Essentially, in her home city Tieflings are being killed off by a cult called “The Ash Choir”.
I really want to link this cult to Lady Wachter - say she is communing with cultists on the material plane to further the cults goals.
The only semi feasible storyline I can think of is that the Tieflings Infernal Heritage is linked to the Dark Powers somehow and they believe that killing Tieflings may force the Powers to give up/weaken their hold on Strahd and free him from his prison.
While I like the concept I’m stuck on how Lady Wachter may react to the PC once she becomes aware of her.
The other concept is that perhaps Izek could give her the treatment he would normally give to Ireena (the room full of dolls and whisking her off as soon as he spots her) being that they both have demonic elements?
What do you guys think of these plot ideas, is there things that I could add? OR should I take this in a completely different route.
