1998 Epi SG Korea replacement tuners

Hi, I've got a 1998 Epi SG made in Korea, with the Gibson truss rod cover. I think my tuners are worn and I'm considering replacing. It has the vintage style tuners. What are considered suitable replacements? Thanks

Tuning pegs worn?

G'day, my SG guitar stays in tune. However, when I detune/tune down (before tuning up to pitch) the tuners suddenly go slack, that is they don't detune gradually. When I tune up the firmness is as expected. Is this a sign of worn tuning pegs? Or something else? I repeat, the guitar stays in tune. Thanks.

G'day, I do most my guitar playing and all my practice sitting. My favourite amp, Vox pathfinder 15r, has controls on top, which I find annoying to change when sitting. I have a Fender Champion 20 which does have controls on front, but makes an annoying pop when the amp is turned off, a known issue. I've thought of Bugera V5 Infinium, it does have front controls, but I don't know if my lack of skills justifies a tube amp or cost.

So, looking for practice amp recommendations for bedroom practice for 60 year old male playing for self satisfaction, beginner/intermediate, no dreams of taking the stage! Prefer not a modelling amp and definitely not an amp with software, updates. Price range up to AUD500. Thanks.
