I have KP and was recently switched over to Adapt from Apria. Apria was not very good to me, but Adapt is a whole different beast.
For my first order via phone, they sent me the wrong items.
For my second order, I used the website instead. I was immediately given a shipping confirmation email for items that I did not order, and items that I DID order were missing.
I gave Adapt a call to switch things around, and when asking questions I received some concerning answers.
I asked if they could give me a list of items with details like size/quantity BEFORE confirming an order, and they said no. In fact, they were confused to why I wanted that.
I was told "We don't provide details, prices, or quantities, because we don't bill you, your insurance does. You won't ever actually pay use, but you will pay Kaiser instead".
However, that's not true. For my last order, I was indeed given a bill by Adapt & paid on their website.
I continued to ask questions, even basic ones like "what's the difference between headgear and mask frame" or "when am I eligible for x" and they couldn't answer a single thing. They continued to just kind of... say things unrelated to what I was asking. I repeated each question two or three times because of their confusing rambling, and I legitimately got different answers each time.
They let me know they would write my questions down, get answers, then email me later.
So naturally, I don't ever want to do business with them again. My next step is to call KP member services to see what the details of my coverage are, but I wanted to ask this subreddit if anyone else has advice: Is it possible to find suppliers/vendors myself & order from them directly while still having insurance cover? Or am I required to use Adapt only?
