H1B visa slot booking process handling ownership in IT consultancy companies of India
For those H1B petition approved people from the big IT consultancy companies of India who want to go to US for the first time or otherwise to get biometrics done and finally to get visa stamped in US consulates of India, who is owning the visa payment and appointment slots booking process for you. I see lot of people on social media looking for slots, so want to ask if the process is owned by you or the employer actually? Shouldn't employer be the one looking for appointment slots for you and you just sit back. Can someone explain the financials as well as any other aspects of this. Or, can you own this whole payment plus slot booking process considering that the petition and other documents actually lie with your employer and are not with you. Is it normal that the employee owns the process rather than the employer?
Assumption: For persons who do not have any liability in the US currently, people who are not stuck from family separation perspective, etc but want to go there first time self with dependents.
