Career change
I am looking for advice TIA.
I am currently in beer sales. We are unionized so the benefits are great. Hours are 9-5. There is opportunity to make incentive money and there are contract renewals every 4 years.
Problem is I found out management makes the same as us and it has crushed my soul. I have been working my ass off the last 4 years to progress and get noticed, so when the opportunity came I could jump into management. My boss quit. I was going to put my name in for her job. Then found out it came with more work and not more pay.
Anyways… while contemplating my life goals. I met someone while on a sales call. She also used to be in beer sales and left her job during covid to get a job with the local heat and frost insulators. She loves it and is happy.
I said f ck it and went and it in an application.
Has anyone on here done something similar???
I go through highs and lows of my spontaneity of “I’ll just go do construction”. 😂😂😂
POV. I am 37 with 3 kids, no degree, married, renting because the economy is f cking us.
