Painting ceramics with no kiln?

I’m a total beginner with pottery, I started taking a class a few weeks ago and have thrown a number of things on the wheel. Unfortunately, I’m going to have to drop the class because of my work schedule. I’m very sad to be leaving early.

I’m going to be left with a bunch of bisque fired pieces but no way to glaze and fire them. There is only one studio in my area that will allow outside firing but their kiln is reserved for students only and I just can’t afford their classes. Are there similar alternatives to glazing for bisque fired pieces? I’d appreciate some insight into this issue, I know very little about ceramics and I’m frustrated that there is no reliable way to finish my pieces now.
