Under the eucalyptus?

Under the eucalyptus?

I have 2 thirsty Eucalyptus trees that have been draining the life from my grass and wish to replace the barren space with a metre square "feature".

And extend the Border down to accommodate

Chatgpt has some ideas but I'd like yours as the work starts next week but I have no plants bought. Any suggestions on what plants I should include below the eucalyptus???

Love some colour, life but appropriate to my space.

Wisteria, so close yet so far

I have been training a wisteria up and across this (arguably) fairly dead tree on my garden over the last 4 years. We have no blossoms or colours yet...which is fine...that's just life. The shade and drainage are equally poor.. again...the learnings are substantial. And this sub has been amazing for me as I see what community can do for each other.

My vision was an arch..the reality looks like a monkey swinging from his mother who is also... nearly dead. I have a fairly small garden but improving all the other things around slowly but surely this summer.

Is it time to give up the ghost? Cut the lot down or attempt to straighten / support the tree?

A lot of time has been spent with pruning, cutting back and attempting to love this soulless skeleton.

The lack of flowers have ensured minimal satisfaction with my efforts.

Where can I go from here? Thank you all
