massive appreciation post for the score of the film

JUST INCREDIBLE! UNREAL!
the last time i felt music match an atmosphere that well was silent hill 2, an album i listen to on repeat even now (it's what prompted me to play the remake). the 'something is slightly-off' ambience each song has.. phenomenal.

i noticed many of them seem to have this built in 'buzz' of synths in the background, almost like the overhead lights in the backrooms, though it's not the same, and often i find some of the sounds/synths/effects/whatever being used feel FAMILIAR. i don't know how to explain it. like if the 90s-00s had plugins in FL studio. honorable mention was this effect of almost like a small drone buzzing past your ear: noticeable in next room over and homothet, it makes my hair stand on end every time. incredibly effective.

some of my favorites include:
local network
the untrained mind
basement land
ottoman empire (this one actually reminds me a bit of silent hill 2's soundtrack! especially around the 1:40 mark)
landsick

i'm a major geek for listening to music (can't play an instrument to save my life though) and i just had to post about how impressed i was, especially considering kane himself was involved in a large portion if not the entirety of the creation of the score too! his older albums are also super awesome!!!!!
wooooooooooooooooooo!
