I just saw the 70mm showing of T2 at AFI Silver Spring yesterday, 5/25. I noticed that the scenes with the chip reset and John teaching the T-800 to smile were missing. I chalked it up to those portions of the film being damaged and spliced out. I got home and researched it to learn that those were cut scenes added back in for the Special Edition - learned something new as I never saw T2 in the theater before!

I'll be back to the AFI later this week for.a 4K digital screening. I'm curious if anyone has seen it yet? I'm wondering if this is a brand new 4K transfer of the theatricall edition or if it's a 4K SE?
