Need advice: Full-stack fresher with React/Node/PostgreSQL projects, but not getting interviews
Hi everyone,
I need honest career advice.
I am a CSE graduate and I have been trying to get an internship or entry-level software developer job for a few months, but I am not getting enough interview calls.
I have skills in React.js, Next.js, Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Docker, JavaScript, SQL, Git, and GitHub. I have built full-stack projects including a React/Node/PostgreSQL marketplace, a Next.js e-commerce app with Stripe checkout, and a React workout tracker.
I also have experience at Turing, where I worked on reviewing AI-generated technical outputs, debugging-style evaluation, test scenarios, and documentation. I also interned at Bharat Electronics Limited in a software development/validation role.
I want to know:
What am I doing wrong?
How should I prepare for interviews?
What should I improve to actually get a job?
Should I focus on DSA, projects, referrals, GitHub, or applying more?
I am targeting Full Stack Developer, React Developer, Node.js Developer, Software Developer Intern, and Junior Software Engineer roles.
Any advice, resume feedback, interview prep roadmap, or job search strategy would be very helpful.
