Seeking advice for simple DIY Job - Fluidmaster 400A Valve Replacement
Hi - I am wondering if anyone has advice for what seems like a simple issue, but for some reason I am not getting it. I recently replaced the fill valve on my toilet with the fluidmaster 400A. All of the youtube videos (and AI) suggest that the refill tube should be clipped to the overflow tube. This isn't possible on my toilet because the flushing mechanism literally compresses the space in between, so I stuck the refill tube "off to the side". I am staring at this and thinking, "this can't be right" as that overflow tube basically sprays water and it's not tied down or anything.
There is no other "obvious" place to clip this thing and AI is telling me NOT to submerge it, so does it just hang out here unsecured? This can't be right. Any help appreciated.
