So I’m working in a public sector and it seems that they rarely hired any international student before. My OPT is expiring in early June and I submitted my STEM OPT in March. I was communicating with my HR back in April about the 180 day extension while waiting for my EAD and they said they’re not aware of this extension. Despite my follow-ups HR never told me if I can keep working whiling waiting for my new EAD. I offer to provide my stem opt receipt notice for compliance and they kinda ignored that too. Should I worry about it? I’m thinking about if I should submit premium processing. Even so I’d still probably get it after my EAD expires…
