Yahya Abdul-Mateen II says the optics of Marvel cancelling Black-led projects like ‘BLADE’ and ‘WONDER MAN’ is obvious. “It should be a priority to change that narrative and to do what it takes to responsibly change that narrative with quality stories, with quality resources.”

"Three!THREE!!!!Black-led ongoing titles for DC Comics have all been announced! What a time; I can't help but be ecstatic for myself and my peers! We have been in the trenches for so long. I can't help but to be proud of what we’re doing, and I'm so thankful for all th genuine support we’ve received from editorial! I wish I could explain the level of joy I'm feeling".

Zoe Thorogood revealed she was originally meant to write Absolute Wonder Woman

From Zoe Thorogood's twitter account:

> everytime I see panels from Absolute Wonder Woman and remember originally I was going to write it I shudder because that book was absolutely meant to be written by Kelly

> I dropped out of the project because I knew deep down I wasn’t the guy to write Wonder Woman ( well and my life was falling apart and my brother killed himself but that’s besides the point). But I think that. Idk. It would be cool to work more with DC, but I honestly think I’m just supposed to be an Absolute Weird Indie Guy

Update:

> Uh oh people are talking about this. I just think it’s important to evaluate your strengths as a creator. I think Zoe Thorogood readers would like my take on Wonder Woman, but Wonder Woman readers wouldn’t. Does that make sense? Idk. I wasn’t confident in my ability to write her in the way she deserved to be written. I don’t think I’d even know how haha.

Marvel Caught Not Paying Their Artists... Again

Reposting in text form because "apparently" there is a stupid rule against social media screenshots here.

Greg Capullo:

> My longtime friend and inker @jonathanglapion, despite my intervention, cannot get paid for work rendered months ago from one of the “Big Two”. Hint: it ain’t DC! Just outrageous. Shameful. Totally unacceptable

J. Glapion:

>Despite turning the work in BEFORE the deadlines given. FIVE covers inked in the middle of drawing and inking my own book.

>Unreal!
