Michigan Small Claims Court for Unpaid Wages While Living Abroad
Location: Detroit, Michigan
I am looking into pursuing a small claims court against my employer in Detroit for around $1500, as they have not fully paid me for the work I completed from September to December in 2025. I currently live abroad, so my question is, will I need to attend the hearing in-person and/or sign the small claims affidavit in-person in front of a court clerk or notary?
