I just finished setting up my first Android app for closed testing, and I finally understand why publishing an app is harder than building it
Today I finished setting up my first Android app for Google Play closed testing.
The app itself is very simple, but the publishing process was much more complicated than I expected: privacy policy, data safety, content rating, screenshots, app bundle signing, testing tracks, and all the small details around Play Console.
It made me realize that building the app is only one part of the process. Publishing, testing, and following platform rules are also a real skill.
I’m still at the beginning, but it feels good to finally reach the closed testing stage.
Has anyone else here had a similar experience where the “final step” of a project turned out to be much more complicated than expected?
