Hi, myself and my partner are about to sign a contract for a 12 month tenancy in England and this clause is at the end.
“Should the Tenant ask to leave the Tenancy outside the terms of this Agreement and the Landlord agrees for the Tenant to leave, the Tenant agrees to pay the Landlord’s reasonable costs or losses incurred as a result of the early termination of the Tenancy, including but not limited to: Rent payable under this Agreement until the end of the Notice Period (to a maximum of two rental periods); and any outstanding lettings fees charged to the Landlord of up to 11% plus VAT (13.2%) from the date of the surrender until the expiry of the Notice.”
Does this mean I could get charged if I leave 6 months early even if I give a two month notice period? Or just if I leave before a full two month period?
