8/22/26 Food > Fascism Upcoming Distro

Hey Comrades!

It's that time again and we are going out this weekend to serve and share. We may be switching spots after this event because we are unfortunately losing the spot we have been using to host our events. This weekend we will be out with the donations we've been collecting and share until the food is gone.

The only way we get through this is together because capitalism will not be swooping in to save us and neither will the system we live in.

If you are able to donate, we are in need of everything in red on our list. The most important this event are items for our go bags, men's clothes, shoes, hats, camping/medical equipment, backpacks, and resuable water bottles.

If you are interested in joining us, donating, or helping us bridge the gaps the system INTENTIONALLY creates for the most marginalized- please reach out.

We would love to connect.

See you this Saturday 👋🏽💜🌿

8/8/26 Unhoused Neighbors Food > Fascism Distro

Mutual aid saves lives, and this past Saturday it fed and shared resources with 158 people.

We came, we shared, and we cleaned up after.

Imagine what we could do if every mutual aid in the city communicated with each other, supported each other, and shared resources with each other...Just like we do through our individual groups!

The mindset must extend beyond one group into a collaborative and collective network of care and we could change the whole city.

Instead, we have been told to move and stop what we are doing...to go somewhere else and to be told there's "enough" mutual aid in any one area...is ridiculous.

If you practice mutual aid, then it should be universal right?

We are infinitely grateful to everyone who donated, who shares/reposts, to anyone who volunteers. Thank you thank you thank you.

You all make this possible and we couldn't do it without you.

7/25/26 Unhoused Neighbors Food > Fascism Distro

215 served last Saturday.

Clothes, food, cold water and drinks, a fully stocked pantry table, and more...all donations from the community, our volunteers, our resource sharing with others practicing mutual aid.

The number of people we serve keeps creeping up, little by little, less are being supported and less have access to the services and resources they need.

The city won't elevate mutual aid, and even some other community leaders will tell groups like ours to "serve somewhere else" as if they run the block and the hundred of people we serve *have enough*. People are still struggling and trying to have a competition mindset in murual aid spaces is counterproductive at the very least and causes harm to those needing resources and compassion.

It creates more gaps in care when we should be working together to help as many as possible.

That is not a mutual aid mindset and that's what is going to save us all from the systematic dehumanization and decentralization of community-led care.

We will happily work with groups that prioritize how many instead of who's doing it.

We will be out again August 8th, and we are currently collecting donations for that and future upcoming events. If you are interested in joining us, dønating, or collaborating...please reach out.

Every role matters, everyone can be included, and every little bit helps save lives.

Upcoming Mutual Aid Distro for the Unhoused 📣📣📣

Saturday the 25!!!

We will be out and at it again!

We plan to have clothes, shoes, a pantry table, medical care, and more!

We have been at it for 6 years and we will keep going as long as we can.

We are always collecting donations and looking to collaborate with pther mutual aid orgs, collectives, and community care activators.

Please consider donating if you are able so we can keep holding these resource distros.

Community care saves lives, mutual aid saves lives, and we are working to build bridges where the city creates gaps in care; where the city builds for commodification and not community care.

Capitalism is incompatible with equity and far too many will protect the commodification of everything before protecting community.

See you on the 25th!

7/11/26 Food > Fascism Unhoused Neighbors Distro

We broke a record yesterday...we served 216 people.

216 people in need of access, equity, support, and care. Through the donations of people from multiple counties and so many who who are interested in connecting and elevating those in need- we were able to supply clothes, food, cold drinks, shoes, and so many needed and often inaccessible resources to our highest number yet.

Meeting people where they are and with things they need are our priorities. We do what we can with what we have and watch as so many still go without in a daily basis.

So every week put the call out for connections, collaborations, donations, and support and we host these events...and we get silence and/or vitriol from those outside the "mutual aid mindset".

Our numbers keep getting higher.

More and more are struggling, losing access to needed resources, resources city officials and the like tell us are scarce...meanwhile they tear down native plants and bulldoze land for housing and commercial retail those same communities won't be able to afford.

Mutual aid saves lives.

We will continue be the only ones who can save each other.

So if you hate fascism, love community care and mutual aid, wanna connect and do more, wanna donate, wanna join up, wanna come to an event, if you wanna elevate or help us help others...reach out.

Be the love, rage, and whimsy you want to see in this world.

Upcoming Mutual Aid Distro 7/11/26

Saturday the 11th!!

Unhoused Neighbors will be out at our usual places, providing resources and access to the same basic needs of survival we should all have access to at all times.

We operate primarily on donations and each donation helps connect marginalized communities to the care they need.

Please help us by amplifying our posts, talking about mutual aid with your peers, volunteering, dønating, and generally elevating any mutual aid efforts you come across. We are in need of donations for this upcoming event.

We are running low on hygiene kits, men's clothes, backpacks, reusable water bottles, blankets, medical supplies, feminine hygiene supplies, and everything else in red.

We served 172 people at our last event and this is how we save each other because no one else is going to do it for us.

Housed or unhoused, we are community.

Mutual aid is human nature

172 people were served today.

Another 172 and it felt heavier and there was more desperation in the air. People are struggling and trying to plan for a future that is uncertain, at best. The city isn't doing enough, and the people within it have the ability to save each other, and I am not talking about the ones that need help passing around the 5$ to each other.

Today, community came together with what we had and shared with those that did not.

This is human nature.

Thank you to our volunteers, our comrades in community, and the people who donate and help make this happen every other week.

Food > Fascism 6/13/26

We served 173 people yesterday.

173 people received access to food, water, juices, clothes, shoes, other necessities of basic living, and harm reduction supplies.

Things EVERYONE should ALWAYS have access to.

Typically we hand out bags filled with supplies they can take, but we are still building up enough supplies to hand out 200 bags.

This was such a hot weekend and it's hard to believe that anyone lives outside like this all the time, especially while dealing with chronic conditions...but so many of our elders and community members do.

Neighbors. Friends. Family. Community.

We are the only ones that are gonna save us.

With the changes to SNAP and medicaid, more will come and we have to be able to do our best to meet these needs.

We are in our collection phase now, hopefully we will receive enough to hand out bags at our next event.

We are looking for volunteers, donations, and collaborations within the mutual aid community and there are so many ways to fill those roles.

Food > Fascism 5/30/26

Food > Fascism 5/30/26

We served 209 people today.

We've been doing this for 6 years and it started with me and my kids, handing out hygiene bags we made from stuff we got at the dollar store to people as we drove around town...

Now we have an amazing group, we are blessed to call them "friends" and "family", and we continue to grow and do what we can to serve those who need it.

While we are happy that we are able to continue to serve this community, it is hard to see so many being unsupported by this city and it's ineffective use of it's resources and budget.

We know these numbers will only continue to rise as more and more families and people across Tucson lose their SNAP benefits.

The lack of focus on community care, restorative infrastructure, mutual aid, and equity for all here in Tucson should be a clue as to what the priorities are for those in charge here...and that means when push comes to shove, when the inevitable emergency happens for all of us, when something unexpected upends our lives...we only have each other.

Today was an amazing day, and we are so blessed to be able to spend it together and serving those who need it.

We can widen the net we catch each other in and we can bridge the gaps the system we live in creates and then ignores.

Join us, amplify our posts, build with us, let us support your resistance, dønate if you are able..maybe this is your sign to start/join/practice your own mutual aid, because the system wants us to forget how much change we can create.

Stay hydrated, don't give up.

Unhoused Neighbors Mutual Aid Distro 5/30/26

This Saturday 5/30/26 📣📣📣

We served 186 people on the 16th and now we are running super low on everything.

We will be out this Saturday with clothes, food, cold drinks, giving haircuts, and more!

If you are able to join us we are looking for volunteers to fill various roles, barbers, and medical staff.

If you are able to donate we can often set up a pickup or drop off, and we have an amazon wishlist for those who are interested well.

The system is not built for people to thrive, have equity, or live in community; instead, it's built on rugged individualism and performative acts of altruism and philanthropy.

Becoming unhoused or experiencing houselessness are factors ans symptoms of a failed society, not a failed individual life or life plan.

This should never happen.

There is enough for all of us.

Community care and mutual aid saves lives.

Ask those who practice it or have received it.

Please help us grow in what we can provide, connect, and collaborate to create and support these communities.

Please help us continue to support mutual aid and community care in Tucson.

Please dønate or amplify this post 📣

See you this Saturday 👋🏽

Food > Fascism 5/2/26

Food > Fascism 5/2/26

153 people served.

These events are every 2 weeks and we do what we can to meet people where they are and bring as much as we can. We are so grateful to be able to share water, food, clothes, medical care, haircuts, and more with those that need it.

Community care saves lives.

There are many many different ways to support those around you. Talk to your community, see where there are gaps in care, and build from there. The scarcity they tell us exists isn't real and you don't have to live as if it does. Mutual aid can be a part of anyone and everyone's life.

We are always looking to collaborate with other groups, always collecting donations, trying to support those in need, and help to bridge the gaps in equity this city doesn't seem to think are a priority.

We collect donations constantly between events and we are always looking for men's clothes and more!

Join us, dønate if you are able, spread the word, and let us know you're interested.

We will be out again this Saturday the 16th!

u/EeiviaLilly — 3 months ago

This Saturday!

We will be out to serve as many as we can ❤️‍🩹

The fact that poverty exists at all, because it is a symptom of a system that is built to dehumanize. It is ALWAYS a societal failure, never a failure of the individual. We are all community and we can save each other.

We can build systems that are foundatinally sovereign and have no need for our current regime or oppressors. This city is criminalizing survival and we can do something about it in amazing and varied ways.

We choose to speak out against injustice and inequity and to provide community care and mutual aid where we can.

This weekend we should have clothes, shoes, haircuts, medical care, cold drinks, hot food, and more!

We are always taking donations, always looking for more help and deepening the connection to our communities, especially the most marginalized.

Please reach out if you'd like to connect.

These gaps in equity, care, and support may not have been created by some us, but they effect all of us; and we can bridge them together.
