My own personal predictions for the next Walpurgis (some spoilers for Canto 8, Canto 9 and all of Library of Ruina)
My personal opinion, based on relevancy to recent events and how iconic a character may be
With how Canto 8 showed Allen and Hanafuda and them being the IDs for that Ruina Walpurgis, and Canto 9 focusing majorly on Valencina and Rien, it's highly possible our walp IDs will be Thumb or Index, but we also have some unlikelier picks that are still relevant
Yan is simply not in the Very Likely tier due to us never seeing him fight directly before distorting, however I do see an alternate Yan who Effloresced EGO as a cool possibility
The Liu Association is there mostly because of my copium, but mainly due to the new Liu Association EGO gift we got in MD (please give us xiao i beg of you, make her play iron lotus when she manifests ego)
The Udjat are also a possibility since they are relevant to the story again, and they are different enough to the LCA Udjat to warrant it
The Decent Chance Tier is there for characters who are iconic and beloved, while not currently relevant they could always show up in Walpurgis, I would kill for a Yujin ID or a Myo ID
Unlikely Now tier is for characters who I reckon we have a chance of seeing but they are either:
- Too Powerful for the power level of the sinners as of Canto 9
- Might be relevant in the future (like Iori)
The one with the biggest chance here is the Hana Association
Everything below is simply not relevant, too weak for our level, or just not possible without fucking with their design too much
My own personal "out there" picks would be the Musicians of Bremen because they slay, the Smiling Faces bc I want them to bring back smoke as a status effect outside of the church of gears fight, and Nemo because I like the idea of the Sinner having a screen with their face on it, and Mika because she's my twin and I'm sad that the other Molars have TWO IDs each
