Hello, my son has insurance with his dad being active duty Air Force but has just dropped the bomb on me that he is leaving the military very soon. I’m a single mom with a job in private practice dental. My employer doesn’t offer health insurance to us, which is fine but now I need coverage for my son! He is 15 and has autism. His step mom keeps pushing for me to check into disability insurance for him, but I don’t even know how or where to start. I don’t like asking for help. We live in the state of Kentucky if that helps. Where do I start?
