NIE (Spain) for Minor
I am trying to get and register my kids (both below 10 y/o) NIE. We have all the documents completed as we have been living in Alicante for the past 1,5 years now. This NIE for them was requested by our tax agent. I am Malaysian and father is Belgian. Long story short:
Kid #1 : He is born in Singapore and has Singapore birth certificate. He is a Belgian national (father is Belgian).
Kid #2 : She is born in Amsterdam and has Dutch birth certificate. She is also a Belgian national.
Went to our appointment and was told that they cant process as the kid's birth cert is different form their nationality.I am confused as hell. I have all the documents apostilled and translated. Now they are asking us to go to the Belgium Embassy to get their birth cert WTF?? Anyone has experience with similar issue before? Please help???
