Hi all. First time posting. Living in Queens NY, moved in with my spouse’s family 5 years ago and noticed the porch was home to what I think are carpenter bees. Every winter they take shelter inside the exposed beams, and every spring when it gets warm they are everywhere. I love them and they’re beneficial to our garden, however the roof has begun to sag and will undoubtedly have to be redone.

The question is, how can we re-home bees and ideally keep them on our property. I’d hate to loose them just because our porch has become structurally unsound.
