So grateful to have the old teeth gone but the new teeth are enormous. The smile is gummy. My old teeth were much further back in my mouth? That sounds so weird to say. I still can’t naturally close my mouth all the way in a resting position. Our lips are supposed to touch in a normal resting position right??? The drool and saliva is insane! 😂 I’ve never used so much chapstick in my entire life and it feels like my tongue has a mansion to live in now.

It feels like my denture is too long in and too wide all at the same time. If it was shorter I feel like it would sit were it’s supposed to? Is that something that can be adjusted on a temporary or am I stuck with a super awkward gummy smile?? 🤣 if you had “monkey mouth”/the gummy smile/ couldn’t touch your lips together naturally”what adjustments were made?

Lots of you were commenting on my original post showing all the pink gummy stuff on my immediate denture that it was totally crooked too. Let me know. I did my best to get a bunch of the pink gummy stuff off and now I can actually close my mouth. So plus side. Was supposed to wait 2 weeks to back in but I’ll go Monday/Tuesday hopefully. What else do I need to tell them?? Are they off center? My mouth is insanely small and they really struggled to get impressions. My teeth feel huge. Monkey month is def there and like they feel very wide inside my mouth if that makes sense!!

First pic was with the pink stuff yesterday. I got a good bit of it off this morning and second pic is from today. The pink stuff may be why I’m all out of whack. The more I remove the better the denture seems to sit but I’m just nervous to mess them up.

48 hours post extractions. What the heck is going on with this pink stuff? Do I cut it off?? It looks ridiculous and makes my denture feel even larger.
