I'm looking for THE BIFL rice cooker in EU to do one pot meal prep & delicious rice
Hey there all my fellow rice fanatics!
I've been doing my research regarding rice cookers for a while now and I've narrowed down my research to the following options:
- Yum Asia Bamboo IH
- Zojirushi NL-GAQ18 (MIJ)
My use is mainly to do meal prep in large batches (rice, veggies, plant protein) and occasionally enjoy a cup or two of premium cooked rice. According to my research IH doesn't have many benefits for my intended use so I guess I'm fine with just the Fuzzy Logic cookers.
Yum Asia seems like a no brainer since it's a cheap and versatile device but I'm put off by some facts:
- The brand does not have a proven track record of BIFL quality
- Their website only publishes 5 star reviews
- Their customer service attitude is smug and condescending which is apparent if you do even the tiniest bit of research on their correspodence with their clients
Zojirushi seems like a no brainer regarding overall build quality and BIFL potential, but I'm a bit hesitant because of the fact that it's twice the price and I don't know how the spare part availability will be during the device's long life expectancy (10yrs+).
Do you have any other cookers to recommend and what would you go for in my situation?
