DREAM OR MESSAGE?
I had the strangest dream of my entire life, and I honestly don't know whether it was just a dream or some kind of message. That's why I wanted to share it here and hear what other people think.
⚠ Spanish is my first language, so I translated this with ChatGPT's help. My English is decent, but I'd rather be safe than accidentally explain something incorrectly. Sorry for any mistakes. ⚠
In real life, I have a friend (F28 for this story). Her brother passed away recently.
In the dream, F28 and I got on a bus. It was a normal bus, very similar to riding the subway: noisy, crowded, and a little chaotic, just like usual.
We were having a normal trip. We could see the route through the windows, and everything felt completely ordinary. F28 was showing me videos on her phone when, suddenly, her brother got on the bus along with a large group of people.
The moment he stepped on, everything changed.
The bus became completely peaceful. It felt like an infinite sense of peace, something I can't compare to anything I've ever experienced before. He approached us and greeted us. He looked at me and said, "Hi, how are you?" I answered, and then he started talking to his sister.
He was asking her for a favor. She didn't want to do it and kept telling him that he could do it himself, that he could go get it. I couldn't clearly hear what he was asking for because I wasn't paying much attention at that moment, but it seemed like he wanted her to go to his house, find something, and bring it to him because he was on his way somewhere.
He kept insisting, and eventually she agreed.
She got off the bus near her house without saying goodbye.
After that, he sat in the seats across from where we had been standing near the back door.
I stayed on the bus, which still carried that overwhelming feeling of peace and tranquility. It was so peaceful that it actually became deeply uncomfortable for me, as if that peace didn't belong to me.
He looked at me again, walked over, put his hand on my shoulder, and said:
"You look good."
I replied:
"Thank you."
Then he sat on the other side of the bus and simply observed everything. He looked happy and calm.
That's when I noticed that I could no longer see the streets outside. Every window had turned completely white, as if an intense light was shining through them. Oddly, it didn't scare me at all. I just stayed there.
Then an assistant to the driver noticed me.
He seemed angry and told me that I was very noisy. The strange thing is that I hadn't spoken or made any noise at all. In fact, I had been as quiet as possible.
He said I was chaotic and that I needed to get off because I didn't belong there.
Suddenly I could see outside again, and he told me I had to get off immediately because I was "almost at my stop" and because this wasn't my bus.
So I got off—or rather, I was made to get off.
Suddenly I wasn't in the city where the dream had started anymore. I was in the city where I grew up as a child. I got off about two blocks away from the bus stop that was near the house where I lived until I was around 13 years old.
I stood there and watched the bus continue without me until it disappeared around a corner.
The strangest part is that throughout the entire dream, I never felt like the protagonist.
I felt more like an observer, almost like a side character who was simply watching events unfold. Even after F28 got off the bus, I still didn't feel like the story was about me.
When I started feeling uncomfortable, everyone around me still gave off that same feeling of peace. I had the strong impression that every person there knew who I was and knew that I was there, but nobody said anything about it. Nobody seemed bothered by my presence either.
The feeling of peace continued right up until the driver's assistant noticed me and essentially threw me off the bus.
What do you think this could mean?
