[Toronto, ON,] Electrical issues
So this happened today...
First time poster (on mobile and panicking) I don't know what to think here. I live in a rent geared to income apartment, the building is a 50% split of units that are RGI and market rent.
I contacted management and filled out a maintenance request. I bugged them until the regular on site maintenance guy came and reattached the fixture. My issue is isn't it supposed to be done by an actual electrician seeing as there were exposed wires?
There are so many little things that appear to be in good condition until I look closer. I'm a new tenant. I moved in here on January. This is the latest incident of a series of things I've encountered since moving in. The bathroom door is a whole other story in itself (doorframe was and still is cracked). I just really don't know how to cope with all this. The management made it clear that all maintenance and repairs must be done through them. According to them I'm not allowed to bypass them. I have mental health issues and am currently going through a crisis I'm trying to de-escalate. This latest incident is spiking my anxiety beyond acceptable levels. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm lost here
