PT related to b12/iron deficiencies

Hi everyone.
F25 years old.

So my PT started a few months ago and was mostly present in the right ear but with episodes in the left as well. About 2 months ago I discovered that i have ferritin and b12 deficiencies and after starting supplementing, my PT is basically gone. I can only remember a few times when i heard it after supplementing and it was much more quiet and less intense, lasting only for seconds.

What are your stories? Is there someone whose PT was connected to deficiencies? I’m looking for advice because I don’t want to dismiss a symptom but I also don’t want to excessively focus on something that is basically gone now. (I’m very anxious about my health)

Head symptoms

Hello,
I have b12 deficiency and low ferritin levels. (Both under the normal range). I’ve been taking oral supplements of b12 twice a day for a month but i don’t feel significant improvement.
The sensations I’m very anxious about are pressure in the back of my head, pulsation in the back of my head which can be felt when pressing on the sides, sometimes brief pulsation in my ears but one sided, sometimes left, sometimes right. In general i have off balance feelings, I get tired very easily and have sleep problems as well. When I’m trying to sleep i have this very weird feeling in my head as if it is expanding and it makes me very anxious. I also experience brain zaps.

I don’t have ct or mri tests done on my head and I’m becoming more anxious because of the symptoms, could b12 deficiency along with low ferritin levels be causing all of that? My mind is always jumping to the worst conclusions.

What are your stories and what were your symptoms? Should i continue supplements?

Unsettling head sensations when falling asleep

Hello,
I'm 25 years old Female (167 cm, 56kgs) with low b12 and ferritin levels, currently taking oral supplements.

I had neurological symptoms that got better when I started taking medication for deficiencies, the symptoms are lighter now but they are:
\- Pulsation feeling in my ears, sometimes back of my head (when laying down),
\- racing heart,
\- brain zaps,
\- pins and needles in my legs mostly,

Yesterday when trying to fall asleep I was extremely tired and I had very unsettling head sensation in the back of my head which is hard to explain but I'll try. When I was drifting off to sleep, the back of my head felt like it was moving or something and spreading anxious feeling from there to my body like signal that I should not have fallen asleep or something horrible would have happened to me. It lasted for hours and when I changed sleep positions it would ease but would come back as soon as I got comfortable again. I have horrible sleeping position, I mostly sleep on my stomach, my hands under my pillow and head usually which makes them go numb quite a lot, but it is always related to my head being on top of them.

Sometimes I experience this horrible sleep problem but once a month max.

My b12 levels were below normal range and my ferritin was 17 (normal range starting from 11), I have health anxiety and stressful work. My mind always jumps to the worst conclusions so you can imagine that when something like this happens, my anxiety becomes almost impossible to manage.

Could it be something very serious? What should i do, what signs are red flags that i should know and do not ignore?

Ferritin NORMAL but not really?

Hello.

I have B12 deficiency (214 ref range being 232-1245), I have the following symptoms:

- tension in the back of my head;

- brain zaps;

- sometimes pulsatile tinnitus (especially when lying down and have my ear against the pillow);

- fatigue;

- cold hand/feet;

- brain fog and lightheaded feeling.

I checked for vitamin D and ferritin, these are the results:

Vitamin D 30 (normal being above 20)

Ferritin 17.50 (normal defined in the 11.00-306.80 range)

My doctor did not check my Iron and hemoglobin, I told her about the labs that I've done 5 months ago (they were normal) and she thought it was enough and no further testing was needed.

However, I feel like ferritin on this level is still very low, taking into consideration that I have all the symptoms that can be caused by deficiency. I do understand that B12 deficiency plays an important role in that and I started oral supplementation for that, but I don't think that just because the number is within the NORMAL RANGE, it can be considered normal.

What are your experiences? Am I crazy for thinking that I need iron supplements as well? I just want to feel energized and normal again, this truly sucks.

B12 deficiency and weird head sensations

Hello,
25, Female

I have been experiencing weird head sensations for a while now. It all started after a traumatic loss of a loved one 2 years ago, after which I have developed severe anxiety, that now shaped into health anxiety.

I checked my b12 levels 2 weeks ago and turns out I'm deficient (214). I have been experiencing very unsettling sensations for a long time, including
- Brain vibrations/zaps: seconds long but extremely uncomfortable feeling of electricity going through my brain, without pain.
- Pulsation in the back of my head: as it is moving and I can feel the blood flow even when I'm not touching.
- Neck tension and fatigue: my neck is almost always tense and I feel very tired most of the time.
- Brief episodes of Pulsatile Tinnitus-like feeling: when I have my ear against a pillow, I can hear my heartbeat which is very unsettling.

Do you have similar experiences? My mind is catastrophising all the time, I have an appointment with a doctor, but sometimes I feel very scared.
Please share your experiences.
