C31 - VAWA approved - EAD Renewal – Recent Processing Times?

I’m looking for recent experiences with C31 EAD renewals for approved VAWA cases.
My VAWA I-360 has been approved, and I recently filed my I-765 renewal under C31. My current EAD expires in January 2027.
Could anyone who recently filed a C31 renewal please share:
● How long did it take to receive your new EAD?

Title: VAWA EAD renewal — how long does it take to receive the receipt notice?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some recent experiences with VAWA-based EAD renewal.
My I-360 (VAWA) was approved, but my I-485 was denied on June 29, 2026. My current VAWA-based EAD is valid until January 2027.
I filed my EAD renewal in July 2026, and USCIS scheduled my biometrics appointment for August 20, 2026.
My questions is, How long did it take you to receive the I-765 approval receipt notice after filing?

Since my I-485 was denied but my VAWA I-360 is approved, has anyone renewed their EAD successfully based on the approved VAWA?

How long does USCIS FOIA take to get a complete immigration file?

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to file a FOIA request with USCIS to get my immigration records from around 2012 to now. This would include my H-1B history, VAWA (I-360), asylum (I-589), I-485, and anything in my A-file.
My attorney tried getting my old H-1B records from my previous lawyer but couldn’t get everything, so they suggested going through USCIS FOIA.
For anyone who has done this recently:

  1. How long did it take?
  2. How long for a full A-file?
    3.Any fees?

Approved VAWA (I-360), but I-485 denied. Attorney recommends federal lawsuit.

My VAWA I-360 was approved in January 2025, but my I-485 was denied on June 29, 2026. USCIS did not revoke my approved I-360. Instead, they denied my I-485 as a matter of discretion, questioning my immigration history and some of the evidence related to my VAWA case.
My attorney believes my best option is to sue USCIS in federal court rather than relying only on an I-290B.
Has anyone had a similar VAWA-based I-485 denial? If so:
Did you file an I-290B, a federal lawsuit, or both?
Were you successful?
Any recommendations or similar federal court cases I should discuss with my attorney?
Also, my derivative children’s I-485 cases are still pending online, and they recently received biometrics notices. Has anyone experienced that?

It’s been pass 16 day for my 485 interview ( Vawa approved )

It’s been 16 days now after my horrible 485 interview. Officer was digging my I 360 case so deeply even though it’s approved. Last he said he will review and let me know. My mandamus timeline is until Aug 26.
Pls suggest what should I do now.
My mandamus US attorney didn’t said anything either.

Today I had I 485 interview

Today, I attended my I-485 adjustment of status interview based on my approved VAWA petition. My Form I-360 was approved approximately one year ago, and I appeared for the interview on my own without legal representation.

During the interview, the officer stated that he had doubts about my case and proceeded to ask extensive questions regarding my relationship with my former spouse, the abuse I experienced, my living arrangements, timelines, bank statement transactions, and my overall immigration history. The officer repeatedly questioned the legitimacy of my marriage and appeared to suspect that it was fraudulent.

Although I answered all questions truthfully and provided detailed explanations regarding my relationship, abuse history, residence history, and supporting evidence, the officer maintained a negative attitude toward my case and the documents I presented.

The officer also questioned my lawful H-1B entry into the United States and expressed doubts about my prior immigration approvals. When I mentioned that my VAWA petition had already been approved, the officer responded that he was surprised it had been approved and stated that, in his opinion, it should not have been approved.

In addition, the officer asked why I had filed a mandamus lawsuit against USCIS and questioned me extensively about my relationship history, abuse history, places of residence, and the timeline of events.

At the conclusion of the interview, the officer stated that he would review the case further and would let me know the final decision at a later date. No decision was provided during the interview.

Pls suggest what will happen now ?
