Your suggestion/advice?🙂

Need advice about work permit options in Canada.

I am in BC and my pgwp work permit expires on Jan, 2027. Today is May 17, 2026. I am thinking about Francophone Mobility but I would start French from 0.

My questions:
- Is CLB/NCLC 5 in speaking + listening the main requirement? What if reading/writing are low?
- Starting from zero French, is it realistic to reach CLB 5 before Jan 2027?( I dont really wanna do it, just dont have the motivation at all)

Also, another situation:

My girlfriend works as a Health Care Aide. She is on a PGWP expiring in Oct 2027.

We have lived together continuously in the same apartment for 12+ months and completed 1 full year this month (will be considered as common-law). We can provide proof.

Can I apply for a spouse/common-law open work permit through her? Does Health Care Aide qualify? Does timing matter because her PGWP expires in Oct 2027?

Looking for honest advice, especially from people with recent experience or immigration knowledge.
One more question please I will be transitioning to a full time time role in the same company, I currently hold a Permanent Part Time line as a Tenant Support Worker(Noc code 42201) What documents I need for C51 Category work permit.
please and thank you so much, everyone 😊.
