Upcoming visit itinerary

Hello!

We are traveling May 30-June 6th with 4 adults (40s and 60s) and a 7 year old, all in good shape. We are traveling from Florida. This is our basic itinerary- I’ve been researching for months and would love anyone’s thougts if Im missing something, packing too much in, etc.

Day 1- Tetons day. (Schwabacher Landing, Mormon Row, Snake River Overlook, String Lake, Jackson Lake Lodge, Signal Mountain Summit)

Day 2- Jenny Lake in the morning… but I’m still trying to figure out this day. I’m concerned with the 9am shuttle time that tons of ppl will be there early making the line experience 1-2 hours long. I’ve thought to hike over, we did that last time, but I’m pretty bear-weary and am afraid it’ll be super empty in the am and I’ll be nervous… advice?

Afternoon float in the Snake River.

Day 3-Snow King Mountain (I’m predicting we’re here most of the day with the 7 year old loving it and adults doing two separate zip line tours. Is it more half day or full day?

Day 4- Teton Village stuff in am, rodeo at night. What should I add this day?

Day 5- Yellowstone day

Day 6- flex day, repeat places we love or that locals have told us about, maybe horseback ride, etc.

I’m trying to leave afternoons flexible assuming things will probably end up taking longer than I think, and also not to run down the 7 year old.

A few questions- should we prioritize String Lake more? The weather I’ve been watching is so all over the place, but with highs of potentially 70 I was thinking we may want to hang out there more of a half day, thoughts?

Any opinions on visiting either of the hot springs, or does it just feel like a big pool?

Also my child has asthma- does anyone have experience with asthma and the elevation changes comkng from sea level? We will of course have his rescue inhalers.

thanks for reading my novel lol, we are SUPER excited for this trip!

Jenny Lake crowd and hike questions

Hi friends!

Headed to the Tetons May 30-June 6th for our second trip. I see that the ferry doesn’t start until 9am at that time. Am i right to be concerned that it will get crowded early (7/8?) and then be a long wait? I just don’t want to be waiting 1-2 hrs… I’m considering the hike around instead, but wondering if it will be crowded or empty around that time? The hike is the one place that I wouldn’t mind a bit of a crowd because I renmember from my last trip seeing pretty much no one and feeling very nervous about bears (we will have bear spray of course).

Is there a better plan? We’re a group of 5- 4 adults 2 7 year old, all in good shape. Thanks so much!
